Commitment to absolute top QUALITY, NEQXUS Series QX refrigeration compressed air dryer
NEQXUS Air Treatment boosts its range of compressed air dryers with the QX series
(Aluminum Cooling Technology) designed to reduce energy consumption.
Refrigerated compressed air dryers are the most often used compressed air dryers due to their ease of maintenance and cost efficiency.
They are suitable for air drying applications with conditions as low as +3 degrees C pressure dew point, which corresponds to a residual moisture content of only 5.92 g/m³ in the compressed air.
NEQXUS refrigeration compressed air dryers are always equipped with an air-to-air heat exchanger for energy efficiency. The warm and humid compressed air from the compressor first flows through the air-to-air heat exchanger. There, it is precooled by the already dried cold compressed air in counterflow. The relative humidity is decreased in the process, thereby recovering about 60% of the cooling capacity. The compressed air precooled in the air-to-air heat exchanger only then flows into the air-to-refrigerant heat exchanger.
Here, the pre-cooled compressed air is cooled down to +3°C by a liquid refrigerant that absorbs the heat energy of the compressed air.
As a result, the compressed air further loses its ability to retain moisture.
The condensate produced is separated from the compressed air by a demister separator and, in the case of NEQXUS, is safely discharged from the system via an electronically level-controlled "ZeroLoss" condensate drain without any loss of compressed air with a residual humidity of 5.92 g/m³.
Electronically level-controlled drain as standard in all sizes

NEQXUS Air Treatment offers the full range of QX/RC and QX/VS energy saving dryers.
This new series was born out of the need to balance the requirements of compressed air treatment quality with energy saving.
The new series uses the design features of the QX series that have been appreciated by the market for years, combined with other
innovative solutions focused on reducing energy consumption.
GOOD REASONS TO CHOOSE A QX RC/RV ENERGY-SAVING DRYER.
The technical design of a refrigeration compressed air dryer for a compressor station should be based on the most unfavorable operating conditions; this is the only way to ensure a constant pressure dew point. The calculation of the dryer is based on the maximum volume flow of the compressed air generator, load changes are not taken into account and the maximum ambient and compressed air temperatures are also taken as a basis.
Designed for the highest ambient temperatures in summer, the refrigeration dryer is oversized most of the year and consumes correspondingly more energy.
The new technology automatically adjusts to the actual refrigeration capacity required, significantly reducing operating costs.
MODEL QX 33 RC - 960 RC
Energy savings via intermittent, demand-based shutdown and start-up control thanks to genieal cold storage idea.
The storage medium in the QX-RC dryers is the heat exchanger itself (with its highly insulated aluminum mass) and a system of check valves and solenoid valves designed to separate the condenser side (hot) from the evaporator side (cold) when the refrigerant compressor is "off".
When the compressor is off in a standard dryer with hot gas bypass control, the refrigerant in the condenser (hot) flows through the capillary tube to the evaporator (cold) and heats it up quite quickly.
So, in the QX-RC dryers, these two "sides" of the refrigerant circuit are kept separate thanks to the solenoid valves and check valves to prevent the "hot" from passing into the "cold". This increases the cold "storage capacity", which increases the "off" time of the compressor and also makes the dew point more stable.
The "ZeroLoss" steam trap, which is installed as a standard feature, is the icing on the cake of energy efficiency.
MODEL QX 1260 RV- 8800 RV
Energy saving via frequency control.
On the QX-RV dryers, the refrigerant compressor and cooling air fan can adjust its speed via the frequency converter within a range of approximately 20% to 100% of the rated load.
At a load of less than 20%, the refrigerant compressor begins to operate in cycle mode as with the RC dryers.
